Ullal : From Feb 3 to 11,2011 for over  a week, renovation and installation ceremonies (Brahma Kalashabhisheka) are expected to held at Ullal Kapikad in Umapuri for the Sri Umamaheshwari Temple, according a press release and programme handout given to reporters at the Press conference held on Saturday in Umapuri, at the Temple premises. Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, Chairman of Brahmakalashotsava Committee priseded.
A Hore-Kanike (offerings in heaps) procession will start from Kuttaru Rajarajeshwari Temple at 3Pm on 3rd Feb,2011 to the venue of renovated temple in Umapuri. A fund of Rs. 1.20 cores has been spent on the rock temple and another Rs.35 lakhs would be needed for the present installation of deities( Goddess, Ganapathi, Subrahmanya, Sastara, Nagadevata and spirits) and connected works.
Local people and cultural programmes have been drawn up. 1008  vessels are used for bathing the idols, the committee informed, A.J.Shetty, Ishwar Ullal, Chandrahas Adyantaya,Raghurama Shetty, Manjunatha Bahandary among others attended the Press meet.
