Mangaluru : The district administration, in association with the Department of Ayush organised International Yoga Day programme At the Town Hall mini auditorium on June 21, Wednesday.

Yoga guru Gopalakrishna Delampady demonstrated yogasanas during the session an hour for the participated elected representatives and senior officials.

DK DC Dr K G Jagadeesha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumara, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr M R Ravi, District Health Officer Dr H N Ramakrishna Rao, Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare Sundar Poojary and DCP (Law and order) K M Shantharaju.

Mayor Kavita Sanil, Zilla Panchayat vice president Kasturi Panja, Taluk Panchayat president Mohammed Monu, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kannada Sahitya Parishat district unit president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura among others also took part in the sessions.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel spoke on occassion and said All India Radio (AIR) covered the event live, dedicating an hour-long slot for the same.
