Kolkata : Spot-fixing controversy that has rocked the Indian Premiere League.
According to reports, Gurunath Meiyappan, the CSK boss and son-in-law of BCCI chief N Srinivasan, is not at his residence and has not been available for any comment on his name cropping up in the fixing scandal in the Indian Premiere League.
Kolkata Police have arrested 9 bookies including a known bookie Ajit Surekha. Police claimed that Rs 3 lakh, 8 mobile phones and 2 laptops installed with betting software was recovered from them.
All nine accused are set to be produced in court today.
Sreesanth, along with two of his Rajasthan Royals team mates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan had been arrested by the Delhi Police in Mumbai last week on charges of spot-fixing in the sixth edition of the ongoing IPL.
