Mumbai: With an affectionate and grand farewell, Annasaheb Hazare moved out of Ralegon Siddi, his native village in Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra on Dec 26, and reached Mumbai, but he had cold since 3 days.
He kept saying he was fit for next 3 days, paid his respects to Gandhiji, and commenced fasting on December 27 morning. Some of his team members did so at Ramlila Maidan on Tuesday, and a sympathetic fast by 4 workers in Mangalore near DC office also started.
Now, it is stated that Annasaheb is suffering from high fever, and former DGP Kiran Bedi, who accompanies him in MMRDA pandal at Bandra-Kurla grounds, has pleaded with him to give up his fast, as he is unwell.
Hazare has admitted he was unwell, but thinks he has overcome the cold effects in winter. He even declared that he was fit to undertake a fast lasting 3 days, upto December 29.
He planned to sit in front of Sonia Gandhi no.10, Janpath house on December 30, to observe another fast if the Lokpal bill was lost.
Anna is stated to be suffering from viral infection today(December 27), but along with thousands of his followers, has commenced fasting.
‘Jail Bharo’ will take place as on December 30, at the Janpath address. The Government of India, especially PM Manmohan Singh, is now under tension, as Lokpal revised Bill is under debate in Lok Sabha today. Anything can happen at this critical juncture.
