Mangalore: The new CM, D.V.Sadananda Gowda, is expected to arrive in Mangalore by air on Friday at 6 PM, alighting at Bajpe airport. It is the first time he makes the trip here after swearing in 26 ministers in two batches in Bangalore, as CM.
Gowda has a home in Mangalore where his wife Dati lives, when he is busy ruling the state.
On reaching Mangalore in an open procession, he will move by car to Dharmasthala for a special worship and stay for the night there.
On Saturday, at 9AM, he attends a felicitation function at Sangha Niketana, Mangalore and meets his friends in RSS. A workers meet follows.
By noon, he is at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in Puttur (Where he was MLA twice) and partake of a special Puja and Prasad meals along with dignitaries of the region. He will meet local activists.
In the evening, he will go to hometown in Sullia taluk and meet his aged mother Kamalamma(87) and take her blessings, on Saturday.
DVS Gowda is the chairman of the Renovation Committee of Puttur Sri Mahalingeshwar Temple where Pujas were conducted by his admirers before he was elected CM to reach that post. He will return to Bangalore on Sunday.
