Bengaluru: Final rituals of DySP Ganapathi were held his farm house at Rangasamudra, near Kushal nagar on July 8.

State BJP party workers held massive protest in Bengaluru and Kodagu district BJP activists held protest in Kodagu.

MP Shobha Karandlaje and MLA R Ashok led the protest at Bengaluru seeking CBI probe in the case and KJ George’s and senior officer’s resignation. As Ganapathi had mentioned former home minister K G George’s name along with two police higher officials in his final interview to a local TV channel saying that two of his seniors and K G George are responsible for whatever happens to him in the future these three will be the responsible for that.

The protestors tried to enter the DGP office; they were arrested and released later. The opposition are planning to raise the same question in the assembly also, and the government is planning for a counter attack.
In the cabinet meeting CM has instructed the officials to look deeper into this matter as it may pose many dangers to the government.

As the K J George is also a part of state cabinet, there is a impression among the public that the government istrying to guard all the three names that are Bengaluru Development Projects minister, K J George, intelligence bureau chief, A M Prasad, and Lokayukta inspector general of police, Pranav Mohanty.

In Kodagu the protest was led by former speaker K G Bopaiah and Appacchu Ranjan. ABVP and other right winged associations supported the protest and blocked the road during the final rites of Ganapathi.
