Kasargod: An alleged ISIS activist Yasmeen Ahmed Sahid was produced before the District sessions court on Friday after she was arrested in New Delhi. It is alleged that she was helping the ISIS recruiters and ISIS followers to travel abroad to join ISIS.
Hailing from Patna, Bihar Yasmeen (29) was under judicial custody and been sent to police custody for next three days. On the way to the court she was accompanied by her 4-year-son.
Yasmeen is a divorcee and she had a close connection with the prime accused Abdul Rasheed (32), which led to her arrest. She was brought from Kannur jail and police have requested for the police custody, which was upheld by the court.
Police have seized 2 passports and 620 American Dollars during the arrest. The investigation has been intensified by the police.
It is learnt that Abdul Rashid was instrumental in getting Yasmeen a teacher’s job in a Mallapuram school. Yasmeen will be again produced in the district sessions court on Aug 8.
