Hassan : JD(S) leader and MLA H D Revanna said Congress has set a target to damage JD(S) in the district instead of concentrating on winning the forthcoming Legislative Council election in the district.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said the district is riddled with several issues, including drinking water problem. But, the Congress government has not allocated any funds to solve the problems. “Not only in Hassan, people across the State are thinking of strengthening the JD(S) this time, which is a good sign. Damaging JD(S) is not an easy task.” he said.
Revanna alleged that the Congress has issued ticket to a real estate businessman from Bengaluru in the district. Does Congress lack honest candidates in the district? he questioned.
He said the ruling party is trying to win the Legislative Council ncelection with the help of money power.
“Those who have been elected to gram panchayat have worked hard for their victory and would not move out. But, the Congress aspirant from Bengaluru would definitely settle in the capital after the election,” he said.
Patel Shivaram, the JD(S) candidate, is serving the people of the district from the last six years and would not even think of leaving the district, he said.
Revanna said he is confident not only in Hassan, but the party aspirants from Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga and other places will emerge victorious.
MLAs H S Prakash, K M Shivalingegowda and C N Balakrishna, and MLC Patel Shivaram were present.
