Mangaluru: “RSS activist Rudresh’s murder has become a political propaganda for BJP leaders and they are trying to disrupt the law and order in the state for political gain through the murder case,” said Chief Whip of Karnataka government in Legislative Assembly.
He was addressing the press personnel on Friday at his office in Mangaluru City Corporation.
“BJP has dual stands. BJP leaders were mum on Praveen Poojary’s death and RTI activist Vinayak Baliga’s death. The government has the responsibility of protecting each and every citizen of the state. Just because Rudresh was a RSS activist some are giving irresponsible and meaningless statements regarding the case,” he said.
He further said that the police department has taken the case seriously and six committees have been formed. Already 35 people have been interrogated regarding the case and Police Commissioner Megharik has assured to catch the culprits soon.
Further slamming the BJP he said “the revenge politics system was introduced by BJP in the country. Totally 68 provocative speeches case have been registered and out of that 65 are registered in DK and Udupi only.”
Commenting on Yettinahole project corruption allegations, he said that the DPR was proposed by D V Sadananada Gowda and approved by Jagadeesh Shettar. CM Siddaramaiah has nothing to do with that. Nalin Kumar Kateel is the only BJP worker who opposed this project, while other BJP leaders including Yeddyurappa and Esswarappa supported it. If Nalin has any proof regarding the corruption then let him show it.
MUDA Chairmen Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.
