Mangalore: His Excellency Charles Koffi Diby, Foreign Affairs Minister of Ivory Coast visited Bishop House in Mangalore on December r14, Friday and interacted with Mangalore Bishop Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza and several other religious heads who were at the Bishop House. They have arrived in the city to take part in the funeral of late Archbishop Fr Ambrose Madtha.
The minister was accompanied by a team of consuls from the Ivory Coast Embassy in India and Sainy Temele, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ivory Coast to the Republic of India
Apostolic Nuncio of India Most Rev. Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio together with Most Rev. Dr Bernard Moras the Archbishop of Bangalore, Most Rev. Dr Henry D’Souza the Bishop of Bellary, Most Rev. Dr Oswald Lewis the Bishop of Jaipur and Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu the Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore welcomed the visiting team.
It may be mentioned here that Papal Envoy to Ivory Coast and Archbishop Fr Ambrose Madtha died in a road accident at Ivory Coast on December 8.
