Mangalore, Aug 1: J Krishnananda Rao was installed as the district governor of cabinet installation committee of Lions Club International District 324 D5 held at Milagres Hall on July 31, Saturday.
Mallika Rao, first lady of the district inaugurated the function. Chandrahas S N accompanied by NCC cadets carried national flag with respect on the dais.
Speaking after inaugurating the district project on the occasion, Krishna J Palemar, District-in-charge minister said that the club must conduct programmes in villages to help rural people. He also lauded the effort of the club to help the flood victims of north Karnataka.
Guest of honour Seemanth Kumar Singh, Commissioner of police said that he is been associated with Club by birth, since his star sign is Leo and his surname holds the meaning ‘lion’.
