Mangalore: The south Mangalore MLA J.R lobo visited areas around Pumpwell were about 7 acres of land had been acquired by MCC for a new bus stand for the city. The people of these areas complaint to Lobo the roads on which they were walking were in bad shape and adjacent to an open drain a 10 ft land had been acquired for the road to pass which was not enough as the road needed a length of 10 ft more for people to walk on, to reach these their house in Ram Nagar, Vasanthnagar, Jayanagar, Maroli and other areas.
J.R.Lobo told the people who surrounded him for a solution to their problems of living in such areas, to prepare a master plan once again by the end of January 2014 and submit it to him. One master plan that had already been made a few years ago remained on paper and some of the land acquired by authorities for development of a road and such other works had not begun at all.
Lobo listened to the complaints patiently and promises to do the needful on obtaining a master plan of the area from the local leaders and the people at an early date.
Corporators Keshava Maroli and Praveen Chandra Alva, leaders Shashiraj Ambut, Gangadhar Poojary, Tejaksha Suvarna, Balakrishna Kottari, Narayana Vailar, Satish, Vasudeva, Naveen, T K Sudhir, Dennis D’Silva, Krithin Kumar, Prabhakar Shriyan and many others were present.
Lobo was accompanied by other city officials and engineers who were asked to watch over the situation in regard to a new bus stand and good roads around Ramnagar and other places nearby.
