Mangalore : Sitting MLA and BJP candidate for Mangalore (South) Assembly constituency N Yogish Bhat has accused Congress Candidate J R Lobo for attaching a false affidavit during the submission of nomination papers.

Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP Office on April 18, Thursday, he said that Mr Lobo was charged with the case before the Karnataka Lokayukta as per complaint No. COMPT/LOK/MYS/108/2008, when he was Commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation and the same was posted on March 15, 2013 by Mr N R Rai from Alsoor in Bangalore.

He said that Mr. J R Lobo has concealed the fact and sworn in a false affidavit and filed the same with his nomination papers, thus committed offence under Section 125 (a) of the Representation of People’s Act and Section 193 of the Indian Penal Code.

Bhat also said that Mr Lobo will be pulled to the court in this regard and the complaint will be filed at local JMFC court in a week, he said.
