Mangaluru: Two days jackfruit expo will be jointly organised by Agriculture Science Centre, Horticulture, Agriculture Department and Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath on July 16th and 17th at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama.

Addressing the press personnel Jayaprakash Bhandary, Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama on Tuesday at DC office, Mangaluru said that there will be an exhibition as well as sale of varieties of jackfruits.

“Moreover manyjackfruit products are also available for sale. Nearly 50 participants are expected to attend the expo and there will also be the sale of grafted jackfruits and other plants,” he said.

He further said that Jafi, the jackfruit coffee will also be inaugurated at the occasion.

“Jackfruits such as Gumless Jack, Mattum Jack, All season Sadanand, Barika, Tuluva, Rudraksh and other variety of Jackfruits will be exhibited in this expo and products of Jackfruit will be kept for sale,”he added.

Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, ADC Kumar and others were present.
