Mangaluru : For the term of 2014-2017 senior journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala has been unanimously elected the new president of Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union (DKWJU).

Srinivas Nayak was elected as the general secretary. Sukesh Kumar, Sudhakar Yermal and K Wilfred D’Souza were elected vice presidents. Venkatesh Bantwal and Ibrahim Adkastala have been elected as secretary and treasurer respectively. They were elected unopposed in election.

The executive committee members are B Ravindra Shetty, Ramakrishna R, Kiran U Sirsikar, Hilary Crasta, Venu Vinod K S, Ansar Inoli, Agnel Rodrigues, Suresh D Palli, Naresh Kumar Sasihitlu, Narendra Kerekadu, Jitendra Kundeshwar, Sharath Shetty and R A Lohani.
