Bengaluru : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Mahatma Gandhi is a great Hindu. The Ideals of Congress are its guiding lights.

He was speaking at the Martyr’s Day programme organized to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s death Anniversary at the KPCC office today.

Godse is BJP’s deity

Assassin Godse killed gandhi on the pretext of bowing to him. Godse, the man who killed Gandhi is the deity of RSS and BJP. They are also projecting Congress as anti-hindu Mahatma Gandhi was a great Hindu. The ones who shot the great Bhakt are now talking about Hindutva. Only Gandhiji is called Mahatma and Rashtrapita. He practiced truth and non-violence and practiced what he preached. He was striving to bring harmony among the Hindus and Muslims instead of celebrating the independence, while the country was divided. He tried to make the Hindus stay in India, than migrate to Pakistan, he said.

Congress party wants the welfare of all races

Those who support Godse, the assassin of Gandhi who wanted Ramarajya in the country are claiming that ‘they are the only Hindus’. No religion preaches discord between men. The Congress party is a party that wants the good of all races and respects all religions. Congress party which is following the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi, his ideals are the guiding light. He said that the challenge before us is to get rid of inequality in society and live in harmony as human beings.

BJP using Sri Ram politically:

BJP uses Shri Ram politically. People will not trust those who follow Godse who assassinated Gandhi , who was a devotee of Rama. True to Rama’s ideal of treating everyone as equal, I inaugurated a new Sri Rama Mandir locally on January 22. ‘Jai Sriram’ is not BJP’s property. Mahatma Gandhi himself said ‘Hey Ram’, the CM said.

Keeping the BJP away from the governance of the country is a tribute to Gandhiji

BJP’s ‘Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas’ is just lip service. BJP does not believe in secularism. But BJP is acting against its own statement. In fact, to protect the unity of the country, 143 crore people should not hate anyone if they want to live harmoniously. The BJP doesn’t need to tell us about patriotism. BJP does not know the history of the country. Ambedkar had therefore said that those who do not know history cannot make history. Keeping the BJP away from the governance of the country is a tribute to Gandhiji. They should not be in power. In order to have unity and peace in the country, if everyone wants to live as human beings, there should be faith in secularism. Let’s remember Gandhi and try to follow his path, he said.
