Ullal: Vithala Malekudiya, who came into media fame as a naxal activist studying for a post-graduate Journalism course in first year second semester, did not have books or notes but only heavy chains on his hands as a jailbird under Anti-Naxal Force, and his fellow-students had missed him over 90 days.
In one night he had to mug up notes given by his classmates to appear for second day, as first day was lost to court order to release him to write his PG exams.
Police interfered when he spoke to mediamen on way, and took him away.
He began reading notes just before the test, when heavy chains were removed from his hands. He wrote answers on Media Law for 100 minutes, and returned his papers before going out with chains.
Vithala was never upset about his arrest. He faces attendance(1%) shortage in second semester. He was arrested on March 2.
He was allowed by a court to appear for his exams.
