Mangalore: Household provisions were distributed to nearly 2500 deserving Muslim families on account of Ramzan on behalf of the DK and district units of Jamiyyatul Falah. The distribution was symbolically inaugurated at the Jamiyyatul Falah organization in Kankanady on July 25, Wednesday. Basheer Haji, President and other office bearers were present.

The provisions were delivered to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries who hailed from various places of the district after they were identified through a survey. If most of the package kits were donated by NRCC units of the organization, some were sponsored by a charity organization headed by Altaf Khateeb.

Among the things provided included 25 kg rice, sugar, tea powder, edible oil etc all weighing 10 kg   valued at Rs 1000.
