Kundapur  : Members of the Udupi District Jana Jagrithi Vedike staged a protest against the deplorable roads of Kota and Goliangady by blocking movement of trucks of the Navayug Constructions .

The agitators alleged that the frequent movement of lorries of the company from Nenchar  has led to the pathetic state of the Shiroor-Nenchar cross road.

Even the bridge near Kota Goliangady is in a sorry state making it difficult for motorists, the protestors alleged. The agitators also forwarded a memoranda to the DC, district-in-charge minister and other authorities concerned.

Police who arrived at the spot brought the situation under control.
