Mangalore : Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari has been highly critical of the BJP election manifesto.

Speaking to reporters here he said the BJP which had failed to keep its promises last time and that its promises in the manifesto will meet the same fate even this time.

Referring to the promise to provide uninterrupted power supply, Poojari said the BJP government had already failed to ensure that power supply was normal and added the state has witnessed unprecedented power crisis during the BJP tenure.

On the promise to provide rice at Rs 1 per kg, Poojari said the promise will never be implemented.

On the second day of the Padayatra which began from Nantur concluded at Urvastore junction. During the Padayatra Poojari sought support for the Mangalore South Congress candidate JR Lobo.

Several leaders including Ivan D’Souza, Harikrishna Bantwal, Ashith Pereira, Dennis D’Silva, T K Sudhir, Praveen Chandra Alva and others were present.
