Mangalore : Will senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari be the Congress candidate from the Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency in the next Parliamentary elections to be held next year?

Such a question is being raised now that the assembly elections are over and a Congress government has been formed.

There is no doubt that Poojari was instrumental in the success of the party in civic body elections as well as the Assembly elections in the district. It is also  believed that Poojari may not face any opposition for his candidature, as another likely aspirant Vinaykumar Sorake is the MLA of Kaup now. Unless Union Minister Veerappa Moily who presently represents Doddaballapur constituency, decides to contest from Mangalore, it is mostly expected to be a smooth sail for Poojari.
