Mangaluru: Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a unique way at Jeppu Seminary Prashanti Nilaya on Saturday.
He distributed fruits to Prashanti Nilaya mates, Jeppu St Antony orphanage, Konaje orphanage and Kulashekhara specially abled children centre.
Speaking on the occasion he said that Indira Gandhi had concern towards poor people.
“She made me a minister in her cabinet to serve poor people and thus is helped the poor and needy by providing loans to them,” he said.
He further said that he donates his pension to orphanage every month.
