Mangaluru: “When 133 taluks of Karnataka state are facing severe draught, how can Congress party celebrate the birth centenary of former PM Indira Gandhi in a luxurious way?” said former union minister Janardhan Poojary.
Addressing the press personnel on Thursday at Press Club, he said that the celebration has been scheduled at Mangaluru, because Mangaluru is not affected by draught. All the ministers will be arriving here in Mangaluru by ignoring the draught hit taluks of the state.
“Instead of wasting time here visit the draught hit areas and help farmers. Many farmers have lost their lives in Mandya due to draught. Are you not aware of it,” he questioned CM, further “I will not spare you if you come here,” he said.
Further taking charge on Narendra Modi he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will declare the general elections by the end of December 30. He wants to utilise the benefit of demonetisation of currency notes.
“He does not have the dare to face the parliament and he is giving statements from foreign countries. Does the importance of the parliament have been fallen down in democracy? He is the PM of the country not only of BJP,” he added.
Later he challenged Modi to arrest Janardhan Reddy. “Whoever attended Janarshan Reddy’s daughter’s marriage function are involved in his crimes,” he concluded.
Congress leaders Arun Coelho, Kallige Taranath Shetty and others were present.
