Mangaluru : The 56th death anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was observed at Dakshina Kannada Congress Bhavan at Mallikatta on May 27, Wednesday.

Many Congress leaders paid tributes to  Nehru’s portrait at the Congress Bhavan on the occasion.

Former minister B Ramanatha Rai, Congress leaders PV Mohan, Shashidhar Hegde, Vishwas Kumar Das, Abdul Ravoof, Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.
