Mangaluru : Integrity Day was observed at Bharathi English Medium School, Kulai under the auspices of Junior Jaycees wing of JCI Ganeshpura. School correspondent Adarsh Shetty inaugurated an ‘Honesty Shop’ as part of the programme. ‘Honesty Shop’ is a demonstration tool made up of a counter where items are displayed for sale along with price tag. There is no shopkeeper. The ‘buyers’ can pick any items they want and pay by putting cash into a drop box. This concept is meant to highlight the importance of proactive honesty.
Chaitra K., Chairperson of Junior Jaycee Wing administered the ‘Integrity Pledge’. Sharath Kumar, President of JCI Ganeshpura spoke on the significance of integrity and explained the concept of ‘Honesty Shop’. The students then proactively made use of the ‘Honesty Shop’. Over 400 students participated in the event. Jaycerette President Shubha Sharath and teachers of the school were present. Slogan competition was held on theme of integration.
