Mangalore : The members of Janatha Dal (Secular) minority wing staged a protest, accusing the action taken against the officials of Sullia Police Station in front of DC’s office on Jan 6 Friday.
Addressing the protestors, M. G. Hegde, the state secretary of the minority wing of the JD (S), said that the Hindu outfits have created a sense of fear and insecurity within the community and Sangh Parivar is directly responsible for the hoisting of the Pakistani flag on a government building at Sindhagi in Bijapur and demanded that immediate action must be taken against the miscreants.
He also said urged the police officials to conduct investigations on various issues of Coastal regions including throwing of meat in temple and mosque premises.
JD (S) district president D. M. Aslam, Secretary Shashiraj Shetty, and other members were present.
