Udupi: The JD-s is hard put to nominate anyone in a small by-poll in Udupi-Chikkamagalur, after Dr. V.S. Acharya (BJP) died, and Madhu Bangarappa who was fancied as a JD-s candidates was not selected by the Gowda family party. The by-poll winner will be MP only for an year or less, as sate elections are due by May 2013.

Madhu is busy with a youth wing conference due in April at Davanagere, as the top Yuva Janata Dal-s leaders said the party, giving excuses.

It may be that Madhu B. is Scared of losing in Udupi, and may end his career when state elections come round in 2013. Who could take that risk?

There are no clear signs of JD-s even setting up a Candidate in Udupi MP by-poll, for seat vacated by CM DVS Gowda recently.

As a sop to pressmen, JDS said that JD-s Supremo and MP, H.D. Devegowda would take a final decision on a candidate on February 27.

It shows that Udupi MP by-poll is a tale of 2 parties only as Congress and a campaign is on without JD-s calling.
