Udupi: The JD-s has set up it own Candidate Bhoje Gowda of Chikkamagalur for the Udupi-Chikkamagalur by-poll due month, and Campaigning against BJP is in full force now. Meetings are taking place in towns.

The sate JD-s unit-chief former CM, H.D. Kumaraswamy in a speech before JD-s workers after nomination papers were filed, lashed out at ex-CM B.S. Yeddyurappa and asked the latter if Vidhana Soudha was his family property that neither Devegowda nor son Kumaraswamy could enter it, referring to an earlier remark of the BJP Hitler who had once worked under him as Dy CM (2006-07).

However, Kumara was off the mark in the by-poll, where yeddy is not Campaigning at all, as he is on a state- wide tour to garner votes for BJP in the ensuring Vidhana Soudha elections of 2013(May).

Kumara told a meeting in Kalsanka Royal Gardens on Tuesday, that while yeddy gave nothing  to farmers even under Suwarna Bhoomi scheme, nor prevented deaths of some farmers burdened by loans at home, he (HDK) had granted Rs 250 crores to state farmers under his rule.
