Mangalore: JD(S) Spokesperson YSV Datta has said that the state government has  infringed upon the freedom of expression by arresting a journalist in connection with the homestay attack.

Speaking to  reporters, he said an attempt has been made to hush up the case by arresting the prime witness  in the case.

He said the JD(S) has taken the issue seriously and warned of a people’s movement against the arrest  of the journalist. MG Hegde, State Secretary of JD(S), Sushil Noronha and others were present on the occasion.
