Mangalore : JD(S) appointed Ashwin Pereira as the state secretary of JD(S) youth unit said M B Sadashiv, district president of JDS.

Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on August 28, Tuesday he said that Ashwin Pereira is a Diploma Engineering graduate in Electrical division and working as the managing director in ICare Lift Pvt Ltd and ICare Live Media Pvt Ltd.

Speaking on the abhiyan by the JDS, he said that on September 1, JD will support the protest against Home Stay attack organized by Students Union.

On September 2, the district JDS will hold fishermen’s convention and party joining ceremony in the District JDS office.

On September 3rd, workers convention will be held at Kadaba and Vitla. The JDS in association with Congress and CPI(M) under the aegis of Karavali Sauhardha Sangharsha Samithi will hold a massive protest in front of DC Office on September 4, Tuesday against home stay attack and moral policing, he said.

JD(S) state vice president Amarnath Shetty said that the MCC has failed to fulfill the basic facilities to the people of the district. The JD(S) also condemn the act of moral policing in the district in which the hindu outfits has attacked the girls, hence on September 24, Monday, JD(S) will hold a massive convention at Town Hall and the district and state leaders of JD(S) including H D Kumaraswamy and Madhu Bangarappa will participate in the convention.

JDS leaders like Vasanth Poojary, Sushil Naronha, DM Aslam and others were present.
