Tumkur : The former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has expressed confidence that the Janata Dal (Secular) will win 13 seats in the Lok Sabha elections in the State.
He told presspersons here that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would lose his post after the elections due to internal differences in the Congress.
Mr. Kumaraswamy alleged that Mr. Siddaramaiah had created such an environment against the JD(S) in the State that winning even one seat was becoming difficult. He alleged that Mr. Siddaramaiah was seeking votes by criticising the Opposition instead of talking about his government’s achievements.
Mr. Kumaraswamy said the Congress would be forced to support the alternative front after the elections as it would not get enough seats to form the government.
No support to NDA
He said the JD(S) would not support the National Democratic Alliance. Mr. Kumaraswamy claimed that he did not take action against Minister fro Energy D.K. Shivakumar for his alleged illegal activities when he was the Chief Minister. “If I had taken action against him, Mr. Shivakumar would have been in jail,” he said.
