Mangalore: Residents of Jeppinamogaru in Mangalore, led by their corporator J Nagendra Kumar submitted a memorandum to Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh urging for stern action against few rowdy elements in the locality.
Their complaint was particularly against two local rowdies namely Satish Kumar and Bhavani Shanker who the residents alleged were troubling and harassing locals as well as resorting to eve teasing outside a temple at Jeppinamogaru.
The memorandum stated that of the two Satish Kumar was involved in several cases and had once even been put behind bars for stealing telephone cables, while Bhavani Shanker was involved in a couple of murder cases.
It is learnt, the rowdy elements have also threatened locals of dire consequences if any complaint was lodged. The memorandum while urging the cops to initiate stern action has also warned that the locals will themselves have to act in case the police failed to do so.
