Mangaluru: A businessman was hacked to death in broad daylight in front of public in Mulki on Friday, June 6.

The deceased identified as Abdul Latif, 38, owner of Online Gold jewellery shop and residing at Moodabidri.

It is said, He was traveling in the car with his father-in-law and son-in-law near Mulki Vijaya bank. A gang of eight persons, arrived in car and bikes and satrted quarrel his father-in-law Muneer, Abdul Atif then questioned the act, while the gang hacked him with lethal weapons in front public.

Muneer’s son Hayath also seriously Injured in attack, both Muneer and Hayath shifted to hospital.

It is said deceased Abdul Latif’s wife working as lawyer in Mudabidre court.

Police suspect this to be a case of personal enimity with his family. A case has been registered at Mulki police station
