New Delhi: Union Law minister Dr.M Veerappa Moily raised objections against a controversial book written by Pulitzer awardee/former New York Times editor Joseph, Lelyveld, on Mahatma Gandhi to suggest wtong nations about Gandhi’s sexuality. Moily said today that the Union Govt. would ban this book making baseless and wrong allegations on the Father of the Nation (India).
Lelyveld’s book makes a disgraceful “statement” on the national top leader, Moily fumed. It is demeaning for the entire nation, Moily added.
The Maharashtra Govt. had earlier approached the Centre to ban the dirty book of Lelyveld. The American author’s comments on Gandhi were “not acceptable” and they malign Gandhi’s character, Maharashtra Minister Narayana Rane stated in Mumbai.
