Mangalore : DK District Working Journalists’ Union members staged a protest in front of DC Office on May 3, Saturday, against State Minister Abhayachandra Jain for threatening union member Yahodhara Bangera.

Addressing the protestors, P B Harish Rai, president of DK Working Journalists’ Union said that such a threatening call by Minister is condemned.

Later they also handed over the memorandum to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Governor Hamsaraj Bharadwaj through DC A B Ibrahim.

Union members Ramakrishna, Jitendra Kundeshawara, Ravindra Shetty and others were present.

Similarly, Moodbidri journalists wearing black badges took out a protest march from the Press Club to the Tahsildar’s office in Moodbidri.

They also submitted a memorandum to CM and Governor through the Tahsildar.

As per the complaint filed by the scribes in police station, a case has been registered at Moodbidri police station under IPC section 120 A, 351, 440 and 506 against the Minister.
