Mangalore:  If some reports are to be believed JR Lobo, former Mangalore City Corporation commissioner and executive director  of Pilikula Nisargadhama Society who has voluntarily retired from administrative services, was planning to plunge into active politics by joining the Congress party.

Reports say he is expected to join the Congress in the next few days. It is believed he is one of the aspirants for a Congress ticket for Mangalore assembly constituency.
