Mangalore : JR Lobo, the newly elected MLA from Mangalore South has promised to work for the overall development of Mangalore by fostering peace and harmony and putting an end to moral policing and also curbing drugs mafia.
Speaking to reporters here on May 9, Thursday, he said efforts would be made to revise the new CDP for Mangalore by holding talks with the authorities concerned. Steps would also be taken to complete the Thumbay second vented dam project, a modern bus stand for Mangalore as well as a full-fledged central market. Even the District Rangamandir would be a reality soon, Lobo said.
Laying of footpaths will also get priority wherever it is needed, Lobo added. All assurances given in the Congress election manifesto will be implemented without fail, Lobo said and added the Mangalore Task Force would be revived .
He also assured that all promises made in the Congress election manifesto will be fulfilled.
Congress leaders Suresh Ballal and Mohammad Badruddin were also present.
