Mangalore : Congress candidate from Mangalore South JR Lobo has said that the BJP candidate Yogish Bhat had hurled baseless allegations against him. He said the complaint has been dismissed by the election officer who has  approved  his nomination.

Lobo said  as per the election rules there is no need to mention in the affidavit any cases other  than the criminal cases registered against candidates. He also said so far there is no criminal case against him and that he has also not been charge sheeted. He said he was commissioner of MCC till 2003 and also made it clear that he had not flouted any rule as alleged by the BJP MLA and candidate.

He said it was the desperateness of Bhat that has forced him to make such allegations.
