Mangalore : A 17 year old youth who was arrested in the homestay attack case, has been granted bail by the second additional district and sessions court on April 10, Wednesday.

Despite him being a juvenile, he was lodged in the district prison along with other adult under trials. It is said the police were unaware of his  age until about a month ago when the family members produced his SSLC marks card which said his age was 17 and his date of birth 25-9-1995.

 His family which was ignorant had approached the CWC Chairperson Asha Nayak  and a letter written by the sister of the accused was produced before the court. The  court has now released him bail on certain condition to his parents.
