Bangalore: On Wednesday, December 21, Lokayukta Police raided the homes of two Government officers to seize illegal properties worth Rs 3.37 crores and arrest both.
The joint director of Administration Training Centre in Mysore, K.M. Prasad, and Commercial Tax inspector in Mysore, S. Siddappa, are the two bigwigs who fell into the nets of LA police.
While Prasad had illegal properties worth Rs.2.67 crores, Siddappa had about Rs.70,49,000 worth of such black assets.
Prasad, as a crorepathi owned houses in Mysore and Bangalore. Both were holding incomes/assets disproportionate to known sources.
Cases have been registered against both possessing illegal properties (houses, gold and silver ornaments, vehicles, cash etc.) in wife’s name and self.
Siddappa had several vehicles too. He also had buildings, plots and lands, and large cash amounts.
The Wednesday morning raids were led by Mysore DySP, P.B. Patil, and his team carried out searches.
