Udupi : National level Best  Teacher Award was presented to K Vasanth Shetty, Headmaster of Sri Vishnumurthy High School at Kudi village, by President Pranab Mukherjee at a function held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan on September 5, Teachers Day.

Kudi Vasantha Shetty is the Founder Headmaster of Sri Vishnumurthy School at Kudi since 1980 and has been serving the school since past 32 years. A  B.A. B.Ed degree holder, Shetty also did his MA in Kannada from Mysore University
