Mangalore : Another golden girl, Mamatha Poojary, a member of the women’s Kabaddi team bagged the gold medal at the recently held Asian Games, arrived at Bajpe Airport on the next day of Ashwini Shetty’s arrival at 6:35 p.m. on Dec 1, Wednesday.

After receiving a grand welcome, she said that women’s kabaddi is neglected in India and I had hope to achieve in it. She also said that central government has awarded her a sum of Rs. 10 lakh, she said that all the allegations against central government for not supporting athletes are false.

Mamatha, who holds a bachelors degree in arts, hails from a poor family. Her achievements are the result of hard work and determination.
DC Subodh Yadav, Mayor Rajani Dugganna, and her family members were at the airport to receive.
