Udupi : Mamatha Poojari, the Kabaddi champion, who brought laurels to India when the Kabaddi team led by her won the World Cup for India, has tied the knot to Bangalore based software engineer Abhishek Kotian. The wedding took place on January 23, Wednesday at Hotel Kidiyoor Auditorium in Udupi.

A large number of friends, well-wishers attended the wedding and blessed the couple.

The Kabaddi World Cup under Mamatha’s captaincy was won by Indian contingent in 2012, while Mamatha had also led the Indian team in the Asian  Games of 2010 held in China.
