Mangalore: The 40th anniversary of the Karnataka Christian Education Society, (KACES) built in city was also the occasion for Samarasya-2012 (amity) festival at Society grounds in city (Balmatta area) on Sunday, February 5, inaugurated by Dr. Syed zafer Mahamood, president of Interfaith Coalitim for peace (ICP) in New Delhi, who in a speech later asked the audience to imbibe divine qualities as God had created all beings on earth.
He thanked the Christian organizers for inviting him to an evening of music and culture. He added that God was the source of fall music, which is present in an interfaith gathering as this one.
He also said that righteousness lay in helping each other. He asked the govt. to include Muslim and Christians under SC quota, as they were left out, as aliens. He advised Muslims and Christians to pass competitive exams. To participate in sate administration and governance by adequate representation.
ICP treasurer Dr. Pakiam Samuel released a Souvenir of the KACES Hostel. Dr Ronnic Prabhu also spoke as a guest on broadening mental horizon to drive away darkness and create amity M.B. Puranik and Ivan D’Soza were present and spoke.
