Mangalore: February 18, 2012: As a part of 15th annual celebration, ‘Kadireya Kalavidaru’ (Kadri artistes) to present the tulu historical play ‘Kadridha Maime’ at Kadri Temple premises on Feb 29, Monday at 8 pm, said Gokul Kadri, president of the team.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb 18, Saturday, he said that the play is scripted by Kadri Navneeth Shetty, directed by Niranjan K Salian to be staged for the first time at the Kadri Temple premises with the three hour duration presenting 21 episodes in two stages.
Kadri Navneeth Shetty said that the event will commence with the ‘Bhaktirasadhare’ from J Uttham Kumar Kodialbail at 6.30 am. At 4.30 the team of Musical divine will present instrumental music event, Dance form from Ghana Nrithya Academy at 5.30 pm, stage programme at 7 pm in the presence of dignitaries and tulu play from 8 pm.
A Janaradhana Shetty, president of Renovation committee, Sri Kshethra Kadri will preside over the event. Umanath A Kotian, president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Kusumadhar, managing trustee of temple, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President of Kannada Sahitya Parishath, H K Purushottham, president of Karnataka State Jogi Welfare Association, entrepreneur Rajesh Naik, Rathnakar Jain, owner of Jain Travels, Dinesh Devadiga, president of Sri Krishna Janma Mahotsav Committee, Kadri and Praveen Alva, owner of Maithri Hardwares will be the guest f honour.
Film actor, Theater artiste and director Srinivas Kadri and Theater artiste and singer S Ramadas will be felicitated for their contribution to the field of tulu language and culture on the occasion.
Honorary president Rohidas Kadri, secretary Niranjan K Salian and Treasurer Mohan Koppala Kadri were present at the press meet.
