Mangaluru: Children train which stopped its service three years back at Kadri Park, Mangaluru is said to be restart its service before this ‘Children’s Day’. The Zilla Panchayat has fixed a deadline of November 14 to complete the work.

Women and Children Development department have provided Rs 70 lakh for the construction of new train and railway track, inside the park. Tender for repair of present track and construction of new train has been completed and it is assumed that the work will be completed at the end of October.

“We are planning to dedicate this service by November 14,” said ZP CEO P I Sreevidhya.

Tender for construction of train has been given to railway department. The construction work is being carried at Mysuru.
