Udupi: State Minister for Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri is extremely pleased with the performance of students in the SSLC exams of this year.
Speaking to reporters in the temple town on May 22, Tuesday, he made it a point to congratulate the students, parents, and teachers for better results this time. The pass percentage this time was 76.13 per cent, an increase by 2.23 per cent when compared to last year’s result.
Kageri also said that the state government was committed to implement the Right to Education Act. The school would reopen on May 30, he said adding the text book supply to schools is complete by 70-80 per cent. He also revealed the state government decision to provide computers to top scorers in SSLC.
Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi MLA and BJP Leader Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde were also present at the press meet.
