Mangaluru: To create awareness of the Congress government’s past three years scheme and to mark the beginning of fourth year, an awareness programme ‘Kala Jatha’ was inaugurated by the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim on Tuesday at DC Office premises.
After the inauguration addressing the media personnel DC said that the Kala Jatha is to spread awareness among farmers about the new scheme introduced for farmers called as ‘Krishi Bhagya’.
“The information department has organised this programme exclusively for farmers.
The jatha will travel across the district for next 21 days. It will surely bring awareness of other governmental programmes like Anna bhagya, Ksheera bhagya, Shadi bhagya, Aarogya bhagya, Nirmala bhagya and many more also,” he said.
He further said that many schemes are available for many people, but people are not aware of it. So, creating awareness is the primary thing that should have done and the Kala Jatha will surely create awareness among people.
“I urge the public to fetch more benefit of these schemes. Information department should create awareness of the schemes among the public,” he added.
District Information officer Khader Shah, DCP Law and Order Shantharaju, MCC Commissioner Mohammed Nazeer and others were present.
