Mangalore : A Guruvandana Tulabhara ritual for Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt was held at Vadiraj Mantap, Kadri Kambla on July 30, Tuesday under the aegis of Kalkura Prathishtana.

President of the Foundation Pradeep Kumar Kalkura  said the Guruvandana ritual aimed at respecting the Guru and is a very ancient practice. The Kalkura Family offered Guruvandana Tulabhara to the seer.

Later speaking to press men, the Pejawar seer said he fully supported the agitation launched at Niddodi opposing the mega thermal power plant. He hoped the ministers and other elected representatives who have assured justice to Niddodi would keep up their promise. The advantages and disadvantages of any project should be considered before setting up of any project, the seer said.
