Mangaluru : RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat inaugurated the office of MP Captain Brijesh Chowta in the DC office building at Mangalore on Friday July 12.

Speaking on this occasion, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said that like soldiers work at the border, they work hard for people’s rights. But the position of MP is not just sitting, they work and work hard as honest MPs.

Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna will hold a meeting in Mangaluru on July 17 to discuss and address railway issues pertaining to Mangaluru region, according to Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta.

Speaking on the occasion, Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta said, I will ensure that we make ‘Vikasita Dakshina Kannada’ with the same dream of Narendra Modi’s ‘Vikasita Bharat’ and I will succeed in achieving it wherever I am under the guidance of party workers and supporters.

He also said, Mr. Somanna will inspect the Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction Railway Stations from 9 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. on that day. Later, he will hold a meeting with MLAs, MLCs, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members, railway officials of the region at the zilla panchayat hall at Kottara from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Matters pertaining to demands for merging Konkan Railway with the Indian Railways, upgrading Mangaluru-Bengaluru railway line, and capacity augmentation of railway line between Subrahmanya and Sakleshpura section will be among the topics which will be discussed, he said in a release.

BJP party members including Satish Kumpala, Vedavyas Kamath, Dr. Bharat Shetty, Captain Ganesh Karnik, Pratap Simha Naik, Suheer Shetty Kannur were present.
